MINIAMIGAS (MINI FRIENDS)

If you thought you had seen everything about “Las Amigas” from Paola Reina, you were wrong.

The brand surprises us this year with a mini version of one of its precious molds; they are the «Miniamigas», a version of the mythical doll, now 21 centimeters tall. We will have to make room, because they are tiny, but irresistible.

It is an absolutely adorable «mini» version, which, in this first edition, has six different models.

They are all from the same mold, (the original Carol or Cristi), but with different outfits, hair and hairstyles.

We hope that, among the next novelties, there will be mini versions of Liu and Cleo, because surely they will cause as much fury as these.

CLASSICAL “AMIGAS”: NEWS

Along with the minis, the new models of Las Amigas in its original size of 32 centimeters, bring us imaginative hair colors, as well as renewed attire.

Especially striking are the new Amigas Funky, Ruth and Karin, who bring California wicks and violet hair respectively.

The dresses of this new catalog provide renewed lines and colors and vibrant and cheerful prints. To highlight the line of pajamas with silver accents with which we can dress our girls and make a «pajama party» in style.

THE NEWS OF PAOLA REINA, UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

We’ve already made a basic summary of Paola Reina will bring us this year.

Let’s analyze now these novelties in detail, because you may not have noticed some things in this catalog.

A CLOSER LOOK TO THE “MINIAMIGAS”

Six are the models that Paola Reina has released for this new Las Amigas model. As you can see, the mold is the same: the Caucasian face.

However, these “Mini Paolas” are different from each other in several things (apart from their attire, obviously). Let’s examine them in detail:

• Martina: ashed-blond hair with French cut or «Bob», with smooth bangs. Blue-gray eyes.
• Paola: natural redhead, with wavy hair and blue-gray eyes.
• Valeria: this «mini» is very similar to the model of the previous year, which came to replace “Claire communion”, which as you know, originally had the mold of Cleo, but in 2018 was replaced by the original Caucasian mold. With the same hairstyle and blue-gray eyes, it is the same baby, but smaller.
• Triana: this “Miniamiga” is especially nice. She has natural red hair, with a very funny hairstyle picked up in two small pigtails that leave part of her hair loose. Waves and ringlets complement the hairstyle. As a striking fact, the color of her iris is turquoise blue, and, as seen in the photos, her face is dotted with freckles.
• Elena: perhaps the sweetest one of the group, because with that golden pink hair it looks like a cake. It’s a mini version of the blue and silver Funky with which we were surprised last year.
• Estela: the hair of this little girl is simply amazing; a cascade of brown and straight hair that reaches almost to her ankles. His eyes are blue-gray.

LAS AMIGAS 32 CM: WHAT’S NEW

If we look closely at the catalog of Paola Reina for this 2019, we will see that Las Amigas of 32 centimeters also bring some surprises.

To begin with, there are obviously new outfits, but beyond the clothes we can appreciate something that collectors love: New hair!

Among the Funky we can see as a novelty the beautiful violet hair of Karin, a freckled one with watery blue eyes that, by the way, brings a very nice outfit. Beside her, Ruth shows a two-color look with clear tips and dark roots.

But they are not the only new styles among Las Amigas. Have you seen the pajama section?

Yes! There is a new girl, with the beautiful name of Carolina, who has the hair of Erin’s color. It’s neither orange carrot like the Funky, nor natural redhead like the Cristi. So … How is it different from Erin? Well, as you can see, it has she has curled hair. She’s like a little redhaired lioness!

Ligero temblor de manos. Emoción contenida. ¿Dónde están las tijeras?

Con cuidado…

Un tenue sonido al rasgarse el precinto del embalaje. Descubrimos el plástico de burbujas.

Por fin, reflejos de celofán, y unos ojillos que nos miran expectantes, mientras que los nuestros recuperan el brillo de la infancia.

Destapamos la cajita y una oleada de olor a vainilla inunda nuestros sentidos. Con cuidado extraemos las gomillas de silicona que sujetan nuestro pequeño tesoro a la caja.

Por fin la sentimos entre nuestras manos; vinilo suave, pequeños zapatos, sus manitas y su carita fragante y perfecta. Esas graciosas coletitas, el vestido…

Sólo los niños y los coleccionistas podemos entender la magia que implica la llegada de una nueva muñeca. Y es que, aunque quienes las coleccionamos podamos tener perfiles muy diferentes, lo cierto es que una cosa sí que tenemos en común: haber conservado intacta la ilusión por esos fascinantes objetos antropomórficos, comunes a todas las culturas de la Tierra y concebidos inicialmente para el juego infantil, pero que son susceptibles de proyectarse como elementos artísticos y objeto de culto.

El mundo muñeca se expande, en gran medida favorecido por el auge de las redes sociales, que han conseguido poner en contacto a coleccionistas de todo el mundo.

Los distintos grupos y comunidades creados al amparo de la nueva realidad virtual han propiciado el fortalecimiento de pasiones hasta ahora privadas. Y es que, el refuerzo que proporciona unirse en torno a una afición común no hace sino constatar que somos animales gregarios.

Así, no necesitamos bucear demasiado en redes como Facebook para descubrir la inmensa cantidad de personas que comparten su afición por Barbie, Playmobil, Nancy de Famosa, Blythe, BJD…

En este artículo vamos a introducirnos en una de esas comunidades, una que tiene presencia en numerosos grupos y foros: el de los fans y coleccionistas de “Las Amigas”, de Paola Reina.

Con sus 32 centímetros de altura, su aspecto infantil y sus impecables moldes, Las Amigas de Paola Reina comenzaron conquistando primero los corazones infantiles, hasta llegar a hacerse un hueco entre coleccionistas de todo el mundo.

Aunque a día de hoy los modelos de Paola Reina superan la centena, lo cierto es que existen tres moldes básicos: el caucásico, el oriental y el de Cleo, una muñeca concebida inicialmente como réplica de Cleopatra Stratan, la niña cantante moldava que se hiciera famosa con su éxito “Ghita”, y que inspiró una muñeca musical, vestida, peinada y calzada como la pequeña artista.

Posteriormente, el molde dio lugar a “Cleo”, de la que se han hecho variantes con distinto color de cabello, ojos, peinados, pecas, etc.

La fiebre de las “Paolitas”, como se las conoce en las redes, ha dado lugar a una carrera coleccionista en la que se hace imprescindible tenerlas todas.

Y esto se ha hecho más fácil gracias a las ediciones especiales de Las Amigas. En blíster, y llevando sólo ropita interior, ahora estas muñecas son más asequibles, permitiendo además que las personalicemos a nuestro gusto, al poder elegir la ropa y el calzado que vamos a ponerle.

Además de permitirnos elegir entre una amplia gama de vestidos, zapatos y complementos, también podemos dar rienda suelta a nuestra imaginación, personalizando tanto la muñeca en sí misma como su atuendo. El límite lo pone la propia creatividad.

Gracias a iniciativas como la de Diversal, que luego han seguido otros distribuidores, los amantes de estas pequeñas bellezas tenemos ahora la oportunidad de ampliar nuestra colección hasta límites antes insospechados.
